We are excited to announce the launch of the OPBA Mentorship Program, a valuable opportunity for seasoned professionals and those newer to the profession to gain insights into the dynamic world of public procurement. This program will foster networking, provide feedback and guidance, and support personal growth for both mentors and mentees.
Designed for individuals at the early, intermediate or advanced stages of their public procurement careers, this program will offer mentees the opportunity to gain guidance as they chart their career paths. On the mentor side, we are seeking experienced professionals who can share their knowledge with confidence and depth across a variety of topics.
The Membership Committee, formed in early 2024, dedicated months of discussion and research to developing a mentorship model that best meets the needs of OPBA members. We believe this program will meet your expectations and support your career development.
Official Launch in January 2025
The OPBA Mentorship Program will officially launch in January 2025. We are currently seeking mentors who are able to commit to a three (3) or four (4) month time period, during which they will participate in four (4) to five (5) mentoring sessions with their mentee(s). After the official period concludes, mentors and mentees can mutually decide whether to continue the relationship independently outside of the program.
If you’re looking to grow and develop in your career, the mentorship program has a place for you as a mentee. For those with years of experience, becoming a mentor is a rewarding way to pass on your knowledge, guide emerging professionals, and make a lasting impact on the future of public procurement.
