The OPBA staff team is small but mighty. We are committed to serving our members and associates promptly, professionally, and positively. Our goal is to deliver quality Pro-D and networking opportunities to support our members to be effective public procurement professionals now and in the future.
In January, we welcomed two new staff to the team. Igor Minic is our new Membership and Learning Specialist. Igor comes to OPBA with experience in a membership role at three other associations. His responsibilities at OPBA include coordinating our membership services and professional development curriculum, including the Principles Certificate program. Do you have a job posting? Send it to Igor and he will take care of it for you. Based in Ottawa, Igor can be reached at members@opba.ca or ontariopublicbuyers@gmail.com*.
Reina Dingman is a co-op student from the University of Waterloo who will work with us from January 9 – April 30, 2023. Her areas of study include recreation and leisure, and events management. She will gain invaluable experience as our Special Projects Coordinator organizing events, including OPBA’s annual conference, the Reverse Vendor Tradeshow, and OPBA Talks. Reina can be reached at communications@opbca.ca.
Rozalyn Werner-Arcé, Executive Director, recently celebrated her one-year anniversary with the association. Roz has overall responsibility for the association’s operations and works closely with the board of directors. In partnership, they focus on the governance of the association and setting strategic direction of the association. Roz is based in Oshawa and can be contacted at rozalyn@opb.ca or roz.opba@gmail.com*.
As always, if you have any questions about membership, event registrations, or job postings, or just want to know what’s new at OPBA, we welcome your calls and emails. Reach out to any of us at any time.
** Feel free to contact any us either through our opba or gmail accounts. We will maintain both accounts until the new service is implemented.
