The OWMA recently released a preferred management document to serve as a source of information and guidance for operators and staff at compressed natural gas refueling stations.

The Compressed Natural Gas Refueling Stations Management Guide for the Waste Management Industry was developed by the OWMA with the assistance of the Canadian Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance to describe the sector’s regulatory requirements and consider practices that can minimize risks to the environment, worker safety and human health.

It applies to OWMA member facilities that receive, store or dispense CNG and provides guidance on equipment specifications, relevant standards, facility maintenance, staff training, emergency response and monitoring.

We encourage you to use this guideline. Members can download a copy of the guideline by clicking here.
