The Quebec Ministry of Energy is proposing to amend the Energy Efficiency Regulation.  On July 13, 2016, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources tabled a draft regulation to replace the existing Regulation respecting the energy efficiency of electrical or hydrocarbon-fuelled appliances. Products included in the regulation:Water heaters, gas-fired unit heaters, boilers, central A/C and H/P, large A/C and H/P, PTAC's and PTHP’s, SPVAC & SPVHP, large condensing units, water loop heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, furnaces, chillers and thermostats.

The draft regulation is published in the Gazette officielle du Québec for a period of 45 days, until August 27, 2016.
