Ontario’s Associate Minister of Small Business and Red Tape Reduction, the Hon. Prabmeet Sarkaria, MPP Brampton South announced a new web portal on April 28th the purpose of which is “…to help businesses overcome the unique challenges created by the global pandemic.”

In particular, the provincial government is seeking information about temporary changes to provincial rules and regulations which could help businesses pivot and retool more quickly in order to respond to pandemic recovery efforts.

Primarily this is targeted to companies which are working to produce health-related products and to those seeking to work while adhering to public health’s guidelines.  According to the provincial government, the goal is to remove barriers that are negatively impacting the supply chain and impeding businesses’ abilities to respond and to recover.

If you have ideas about regulations and rules which could be temporarily relaxed or removed at this time, please add your ideas via the provincial website.

Please also share your ideas with HRAI staff.
