Today (April 23, 2020) Premier Ford announced the third extension to the state of emergency. On the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, all emergency orders are extended until May 6, 2020.   The state of emergency was originally ordered on March 17, extended March 31, and April 23.

This extension applies to all emergency orders that have been put in place to-date under s.7.0.2 (4) of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act in the ongoing effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Ontario members are reminded that questions about essential and non-essential businesses and status should be directed to the Stop the Spread hotline at:  1-888-444-3659.  The hotline is answered from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm Monday to Friday and from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
