Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) recently introduced its Zoning Duct Design Guide for the industry, developed by NRCan’s CanmetENERGY-Ottawa Housing Research and Local Energy Efficiency Partnerships (LEEP) groups with content provided by several leading duct design professionals and funding provided by NRCan’s Office of Energy Research and Development (OERD). The guide is intended to be used by mechanical system and air distribution system design professionals, and was developed in response to needs identified by duct design professionals.  The Guide is available for download on the NRCan website at the following links:

English: https://www.nrcan.gc.ca/energy/efficiency/housing/research/20277
French: https://www.rncan.gc.ca/energie/efficacite/habitation/recherche/20278

Intended for Mechanical System Designers, the guide provides detailed design steps in support of decisions made between design professionals and builders and is a companion to the Zoning Decision Guide for Builders.
