The Manitoba Building Officials Association (MBOA) will host its 2019 Annual Spring Seminar on April 24-25 at the CanadInns Polo Park. HRAI encourages its members in the Winnipeg, Manitoba area to attend this seminar.   

The seminar will focus on the areas of life safety, alternative construction methods and ever changing codes.

Presentations will be of interest to: Building Officials, Building Inspectors, Fire Prevention Inspectors, Municipal Administrators, Architects, Engineers, Architectural & Engineering Technologist, Students and Contractors.

Space is limited and registration will be honoured on a first come first serve basis.

The topics presented will provide you with an opportunity to choose sessions that would most benefit your learning requirements.

TECHNICAL GUIDE - Water Supply for Fire Fighting
The building owner, in consultation with the local fire department, is responsible for meeting the requirements of the Manitoba Building Code (MBC) 3.2.5.7. Water Supply. 

The purpose of this technical guide is to outline best practices in determining the recommended minimum water supply necessary for firefighting purposes in areas where it has been determined that the available water supply is inadequate.
