Due to the pandemic this month the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) held its annual conference as an online virtual event, and introduced its new Chair Gail Kaufman.

The theme of the conference was “SHIFT” and during the event Kaufman said “How fortunate we are to work in businesses that have been deemed essential. How we deliver our services has had to change, and that may have an impact going forward. It is a time to shift; to shift past the current challenges.”

Gail Kaufman is a familiar figure with HRAI. She is Wolseley’s Vice-President of Marketing & eBusiness. She grew up in Brantford, Ontario, studied marketing at the University of Western Ontario, and worked previously in an advertising agency and in marketing at Shell and Pennzoil-Quaker State. You can find more on Ms. Kaufman’s background here in our HRAI Women HVACR profile on her from January of this year.

At that time Kaufman said: “The world and the world of business are all about change. We have to embrace change because things are constantly evolving.”

Things may be changing even more than she expected. Congratulations from HRAI to Gail Kaufman.
