Members of the International Council of Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating Manufacturers Associations (ICARHMA) Working Group met on January 29, 2017 in Las Vegas during the 2017 AHR Expo. ICARHMA includes industry associations from around the world including Australia, China, Korea, Japan, Europe, Brazil, India, Columbia, United States and Canada. HRAI was represented at the meeting by President Warren Heeley, Director of Programs and Relations Martin Luymes and Manager of Divisional Services (Manufacturers and Wholesalers) Caroline Czajko.

The meeting agenda included review of the impact of the recently adopted Kigali amendment to the Montreal Protocol on each member’s national policy and a review of the key issues being managed by each of the members. Reports were also provided on other international industry initiatives such as global refrigerant management.

The next annual ICARHMA meeting will be hosted by the Korean Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association (KRAIA) in October in Seoul, Korea.

HRAI and AHRI staff also met on January 30th to focus on topics of mutual interest and plan work for the coming year in line with the MOU between the two associations.  For more information contact Caroline Czajko at HRAI cczajko@hrai.ca
