Members of the International Council of Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating Manufacturers Associations (ICARHMA) Working Group met on January 21st in Chicago during the 2018 AHR Expo. ICARHMA includes industry associations from around the world including Australia, China, Korea, Japan, Europe, Brazil, India, Columbia, United States and Canada. HRAI was represented at the meeting by President Warren Heeley, Director of Programs and Relations Martin Luymes and Manager of Divisional Services (Manufacturers and Wholesalers) Caroline Czajko.

The meeting agenda included a review of the current global developments affecting the industry such as, international trade, climate change (post- Kigali), energy efficiency and increasing regulatory climate.  Reports were also provided on industry initiatives such as global refrigerant management.

The next annual ICARHMA meeting will be hosted by the Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association (JRAIA) in October in Tokyo, Japan.

HRAI and AHRI staff also met on January 23rd to focus on topics of mutual interest and plan work for the coming year in line with the MOU between the two associations.
