Given the ongoing concerns regarding the safe re-opening of schools, HRAI Canada continues to reach out to stakeholders across the country, including Provincial ministries, school boards as associations representing key stakeholders (parents, teachers).  HRAI recently engaged with key decision-makers in Ontario and Alberta, and offers of assistance have been made to all provinces.

HRAI’s message is clear: the HVACR sector has the expertise and the resources to help make school environments safer and healthier.

In a recent letter to Ontario Minister Stephen Lecce HRAI was clear that the sector is available to work with school boards and the provincial government to provide technical advice regarding ventilation, filtration and indoor air quality.  HVACR professionals can identify the key priorities to address in the short, medium and long term to ensure schools and other buildings – long term care homes, healthcare facilities and commercial buildings – are safe.

In addition, HRAI shared ASHRAE’s latest technical advice for schools.
