Former Toronto Mayor David Miller will be one of the speakers at HRAI’s low carbon economy symposium next month in Hamilton. Miller is now the North American Director for the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group and will deliver a session entitled An Urban Century: Urban challenges and urban solutions underway to move to a ‘Low Carbon Economy’.

Other speakers include Joyce Henry Director-General, for the Office of Energy Efficiency at Natural Resources Canada; and Alice Rosenberg, Senior Program Manager for the Consortium for Energy Efficiency.

Canada's transition to a low-carbon economy offers opportunities and challenges for the heating, cooling & refrigeration industry. Speakers will discuss policy decisions that will benefit Canadians and industry stakeholders.

The event will take place on April 23 at the award-winning, net-zero Joyce Center of Partnership and Innovation Building at Mohawk College. It will include a tour and opportunities for networking with industry peers.
