Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) issued a notice to the Air Sector of a proposed legislative amendment to the Canada Labour Code.

ESDC will impose equal remuneration for federally regulated contract workers in the air transportation sector covered by a collective agreement under Part 1 of the Canada Labour Code. These changes have unintended consequences to the Air Sector and will adversely affect competition of contracts.
