Please find below the latest info from CARAC regarding the new Canada Labour Code changes that came into effect on September 1st, 2019. Take particular note of the statement directing you to IPG 11 (802-1-IPG-101) that provides information on classes of employees that will be exempt from the application of certain provisions (noted by an “X” in the matrix in the Scope of Application references. Schedule at the link below) within the aviation sector positions. In the matrix at the link below, a blank space indicates that the item IS applicable.

For your information, the Interpretations, Policies and Guidelines (IPGs) related to changes to Part III of the Canada Labour Code coming into force on September 1, 2019 can be found at https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/programs/laws-regulations/labour/interpretations-policies.html.
