After close to eighteen years as CSAE’s President & CEO, Michael Anderson, CAE, has announced he will transition out of the role as of May 31, 2017, to pursue other opportunities.

Lia Daborn, CAE, CSAE Chair for 2016/2017 stated, “Over nearly two decades, Michael’s  leadership has moved CSAE in a new and progressive direction.  Together with his team Michael grew membership, expanded programs, increased revenue and delivered strong value to associations across Canada.”

Hired by CSAE when the association was facing significant challenges, Michael was intimately involved in getting the Society back on its feet and moving forward.

“The Board deeply appreciates his commitment as we strategically align our business model with the transition work that is being done with all Chapters,” added Lia.

“I’ve been fortunate to work with a dedicated group of Board members, volunteers, Chapter leaders and staff over the years and am proud of what we’ve collectively achieved,” Michael said.

“CSAE is a unique organization as its members and supporters care passionately about what the association does, and as importantly, what they do to support a wide array of Canadians every day.  It has been a privilege to be part of this association and while I’ll miss working with this great group of people, it is time for a new President & CEO.”

Lia further noted that a Search and Transition Committee has been created and a plan is in place to ensure a smooth transition with the expectation that a new President will be onboard in May 2017.
