Always helpful, Jim dedicated hundreds of hours to BOMA Committees. He was a member of the Education Committee for over eighteen years, offering valuable ideas and feedback, and helping organize workshops and seminars.

In 1999 Jim recognized the need for building engineers and operations staff to have their own meetings aside from the regular BOMA luncheons. This gave rise to the Quality Building Team (QBT). Jim single-handedly spearheaded the QBT meetings until early 2016. For these and other contributions, Jim was BOMA BC’s 2002 President’s Award recipient.

After retiring, Jim continually kept up to date on new technology. He visited and spoke with building operators and regulators on a regular basis on behalf of the industry.

Jim will be remembered as a gentleman who possessed a wealth of technical knowledge, with an impressive collection of interesting stories, and a genuine concern for helping others.
